We had a great time on our vacation....Due to the length and places we went I am posting our trip into different parts!
Part One: The Clay's House in Rhinelander, WI (Tim's sister's family)
We had a blast and Rachel and Ed's house. The 6 hour drive is always worthwhile! We arrived on a Wednesday evening and stayed there until Sunday morning. While we were there we experienced some fun time and some cold times :)
The Clays have a beautiful home right off a gorgeous lake. Tim jokes that it is his personal vacation home (kinda is). When we stay there we do all the things Tim enjoys most ie..games, fishing, games, swimming, games, camping and of course games! This visited we set up our tent in there back yard in hopes to camp out. However....it got rather cold (45degrees) and some of us chickened out and found warmth inside! To clear the record it was only Caleb, Hannah, and myself who left the damp cold night to seek a soft comfy bed. Noah did climb into Tim's sleeping bag for added warmth (for both of them).
This visit also mark a first. My parents decided to also join us :) We have mentioned many times for them to join us up at Ed and Rachel's and this time they accepted. What fun we all had! Ed even cleared out a nice camping spot for them in a secluded area along their main drive (away from all the kids). I know my parents will never turn down another offer to visit again, they had such a wonderful time.
Here are a few pictures of our time in Rhinelander (I took well over 100!)
Nice "Little" fire, we needed it that night!
Moriah, Calvin, James, Whitney and Megan sitting by the fire.
Noah fishing off the dock.
Hannah fishing with Uncle Ed.
Caleb's "BIG" catch...actually he could see the fish off of the dock and would "snag" them...even the tiny ones :)
Another fish Caleb snagged! Look closer...poor thing didn't even get the worm, he was caught by the fin!
Moriah, James, and Eli burring Caleb in the sand.
Hannah waiting to dive on in!
Whitney and Noah having fun in the lake.
Ed rough housing with the kids.
Yes...your eyes are correct Tim and Ed are fishing in the lake, while swimming (and keeping an eye on the kids?).
Yep that's a Bass! This catch was a tag-teamed effort. Tim would acutally look for the fish under water and give Ed the upper hand...they were quite the team! Funny to watch too...at one point it looked as if Ed had caught Tim...too bad I didn't snap a picture of that.
